Diagnosed longstanding open/close issues on 2005 opener. Found incorrect aftermarket sensors and improperly set force limits; door weight tested well above manufacturer spec, with aging 2014 springs. Reviewed findings with customer, who opted to replace sensors and recalibrate force limits now, with spring replacement and new opener planned for next month. Installed new LiftMaster sensors, reset force limits, and confirmed smooth, reliable operation.
